Paiva Jr. comes from a prestigious family
of tango dancers and instructors from
Rosario, Argentina. His father, Orland
Paiva Sr., has been teaching tango since
1950 and is credited with introducing
Argentine Tango to Los Angeles and the
Bay Area. Orlando Paiva Sr.'s style of
dancing is known and respected worldwide.
He was featured in the film, Assassination
Tango, written and directed by actor Robert
Duvall, who was a regular student of his.
Orland
Paiva Jr. carries on the legacy of his
father's smooth, elegant and distinctive
style of tango. He has been teaching in
Argentina and worldwide for the past ten
years and is the founder of the Tango
Brujo Congress in Reno, Nevada, now in
its second year.

Laura
Tate has been dancing Argentine Tango
for three years, and has studied the dance
with prestigious teachers in Buenos Aires.
She currently studies and dances with
Orlando Paiva Jr. Before becoming enraptured
with tango, Laura was an avid salsa dancer.
